Deleting a Directory

You can delete directories to free up disk space or to remove unwanted data on the
NAS server.
To delete a directory:
1. In Command View NAS, click the Storage tab.
2. Under File Volumes, select Shares/Exports.
3. Navigate through the directory tree that appears in the browser and highlight
4. Select Actions > Delete Selected Directory.
5. Click OK to delete the directory.
Note:
the directory is deleted. They must be cleaned up separately.
There are two views of the Shares/Exports page: the Explorer View, and a Share
Summary View. The Share Summary View provides a list of all shares/exports, so
that you do not have to navigate through the directory tree to see them all.
Caution:
Deleting a directory destroys all the data in that directory and all of
its subdirectories. This procedure cannot be reversed. Therefore, remove all
crucial data before you delete the directory.
