Practice The Left Hand Garten
4. Press the LEFT GUIDE button.

The automatic performance will now play the intro and will then stop
and wait for you. The Guide Lamps above the keys will flash to show
you which notes to play with your left hand.
6. With your left hand, play the keys where the lamps flash.

The Guide Lamps will flash one beat ahead of the correct timing to
enable you to anticipate the next note(s), resulting in a smoother
performance. Practice with the left hand while watching the lamps.
Playing those notes indicated by the lamps causes the Right and
Orchestra parts to advance at the original tempo, until it reaches the next
Left Hand part to be played.

which notes to play with your right hand.
9. With your right hand, play the keys where the lamps flash.
The Guide Lamps will flash one beat ahead of the correct timing to enable
you to anticipate the next note(s), resulting in a smoother performance.
Practice with the right hand while watching the lamps. Playing those notes
indicated by the lamps causes the Left and Orchestra parts to advance at
the original tempo, until it reaches the next Right Hand part to be played.
[Phrase Practice]
Individual phrases of a song can be played back for
repeated practice. First, look at the music in your ROM
MUSIC BOOK and find the song that contains the phrase
you want to practice.
(1) Press the SONG SELECT button , and select the
song that contains the desired phrase.

(2) Press the PHRASE REPEAT button.

The TEMPO/SONG SELECT Indicator will display
the Phrase number.
(3) Select the phrase you wish to practice.
Use the TEMPO buttons ( and №) to select the
number of the desired phrase.
(4) Now press the rhythm START button.
The designated phrase will be played back repeatedly.
Now press the Left Guide or Right Guide button for
individual part practice.
[Additional Information]
€ TRANSPOSER: Changing the transposer setting
does not cause the positions of the guide lamps to
change.
@ KEYING CAPABILITIES: When all three parts
are being played back, no sound will be produced when
the keys are played.
When the Orchestra part is cancelled, a maximum of
8 notes can be played at any one time. When the Left
or Right part is cancelled, a maximum of 4 notes can
be played at any one time.
@ MEMORY: When the PERFORMANCE MEMORY
or SEQUENCER MEMORY is used, the data loaded
into the Clavinova from the ROM MUSIC BOOK
will be erased.
è ROM MUSIC data saved in the instrument will be
kept in the memory for approximately one week,even
with the power turned off.
