1. Select a rhythm pattern.

Eight buttons are provided to permit the selection of sixteen different
rhythms.
One button is used to select the Rhythm pattern on the left and right of
that button. If the Rhythm pattern on the opposite side is selected when
you press the button of the desired rhythm, press that button once more.
2. Set the RHYTHM
VOLUME control.

3. Set the TEMPO controls.
Pressing
the ''<''
button
slows
down the tempo, and pressing the
button speeds it up. Pressing
O<

both "4° and "P" simultaneous-
ly restores the tempo of the initial
POWER-ON status ( J =120).
4. Start the rhythm.
The rhythm will start as soon as the START button is pressed. When the
SYNCHRO START button is on, the rhythm will start when a key in the
lower area of the keyboard (either the keys below the Е*1 in the initial
POWER-ON status or below the key-split point during use of the later
described PIANO
ABC
or MANUAL
BASS) is struck or when the
INTRO/ENDING
button is pressed.

NOTE: If you wish to start the rhythm with a Fill In pattern, first press the FILL IN
button to light up the second BEAT lamp from the left of the TEMPO Indicator.
Next, when a key in the lower area of the keyboard or the START
button is
pressed, the rhythm will start with a Fill In pattern.
5. Stop the rhythm.
The
rhythm
will stop when
the
STOP button or INTRO/ENDING
button is pressed.

[VARIATION]

VARIATION
One of three Variation patterns can be selected with
respect to one Rhythm pattern. Upon setting the POWER
switch to ON, the VARIATION
button will be set to
"1", (When PIANO
ABC is On, the accompaniment
pattern will also change at the same time).

Pressing this bar when the rhythm is playing causes a
FILL IN pattern to be added to the end of that measure.
When you want a FILL IN pattern for two measures or
more, continue holding the bar for each measure.
[INTRO/ENDINGI]
ENDING
When the INTRO/ENDING button is pressed while the
rhythm
is stopped,
the Rhythm
pattern
will start
following a two-measure Intro pattern. When this button
is pressed at the end of the song, an Ending pattern will
play, then the rhythm will stop.
[TEMPO Indication]
The BEAT
lamps light up
BEAT
successively
from
left
to
0000
right to indicate the tempo
TEMPO/SONG SELECT
of the selected rhythm. The
extreme left red lamp indi-
cates the first beat, or down
beat, of a measure.
When
Synchro
Start is used, the
extreme left lamp will flash,
indicating the exact tempo
(in quarter notes) until the
rhythm is started.
This indicator shows the quantity of beats per minute
( J =
) for the current tempo. (The tempo will not be
displayed,
however,
when
the
SONG
SELECT
or
PHRASE REPEAT button in the ROM MUSIC Section,
or the RECORD button in the SEQUENCER MEMORY
Section of CVP-10/8 is pressed.
