Greasing the Mower Deck

Service Interval: Yearly—Grease the pump-belt-idler
arm.
Yearly—Grease the front caster pivots (more
often in dirty or dusty conditions).
Yearly—Repack the front caster-wheel bearings
(more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
1. Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the blade-control switch, and engage the parking
brake.
2. Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3. Grease the mower deck idler-pulley pivot until
grease comes out the bottom

5. Remove the dust cap and adjust the caster
pivots.
Note:
Keep the dust cap off until greasing is
done.
6. Remove the hex plug.
7. Thread a grease fitting into the hole.
8. Pump grease into the fitting until it oozes out
around the top bearing.
9. Remove the grease fitting in the hole.
