8.
Installation Review
This chapter describes the necessary number of technicians required to install the
machine properly, the time required to install the main unit and optional equipment,
and customer installation responsibilities.
8.1 Installation Time
The time required to install the varioPRINT 6000 TITAN Series engines depends
on the options and accessories to be installed, and the number of technicians
performing the installation. Customers should discuss the time requirements with
their servicing dealer and schedule the installation accordingly.
The estimated length of time needed to unpack and install the machine and
optional accessories for the minimum and full configurations (multiple PIMs,
PrintGuards, and High Capacity Stackers) is provided below. The estimated
installation time is based on a minimum of one technician with trucker support.

If the optional BLM550+ Booklet Maker is configured with the machine, add
approximately 6 hours to the machine's installation time. If the optional Book
Stacker is configured with the BLM550+ Booklet Maker, add approximately 2.5
hours to the installation time of the Booklet Maker.
The estimated installation and training time for the BGB3202 Perfect Binder is
approximately five (5) days.
The estimated installation time includes a minimum of two (2) experienced
technicians who are trained on the BGB3202 Perfect Binder.
8.2 Customer Responsibilities
Identify location for equipment.
Verify strength of floor and level.
Ensure that the equipment can be
delivered to the site.
Confirm proper power and electrical
outlets are available.
Area meets environmental specifications.
Network connections available.
