Changing the Engine Oil
Service Interval: Every 100 hours (more often in dirty
or dusty conditions).
Note:
Dispose of the used oil at a recycling center.
1. Park the machine so that the rear is slightly
lower than the front to ensure that the oil drains
completely.
2. Move the speed-control lever to the N
position to stop the machine.
3. Disengage the PTO, engage the parking brake,
shut off the engine, and wait for all moving parts
to stop.

4. Slowly pour approximately 80% of the specified
oil into the filler tube and slowly add the
additional oil to bring it to the full mark on the
dipstick (Figure 31).
5. Start the engine and drive to a flat area. Wait
3 minutes for oil to settle into the crankcase.
Check the oil level again
6. If needed, add oil to the full mark on the dipstick.

Changing the Engine-Oil Filter
Service Interval: Every 200 hours
Note:
Change the engine-oil filter more frequently
when operating conditions are extremely dusty or
sandy.
1. Drain the oil from the engine; refer to
the Engine Oil (page
2. Change the engine-oil filter
Note:
Allow 2 minutes for the new oil to be
absorbed by the new filter material.
Note:
Ensure the oil filter gasket touches the
engine and then an extra 3/4 turn is completed.
3. Fill the crankcase with the proper type of new
oil; refer to Changing the Engine Oil (page
36
