Sleep Score Calculation
The sleep score that is displayed in the morning is calculated based on seven different parameters: your total sleep
time, the sleep efficiency (which means the ratio between the total sleep time and the total time spent in bed), the
time it took you to fall asleep, the number of times you woke up during the night, the number of times you exited
the bed, the percentage of deep sleep out of the sleep time, and the percentage of REM sleep out of the sleep time.
The weight of each parameter in the final score was adjusted to best fit user perception of own sleep. The score
baseline is very individual and depends on multiple variables. The best way to understand whether your score is
"good" or "bad" is to compare it to your previous night's scores. These reflect your personal baseline. For example, if
you're used to receiving scores at around 70 and today you got an 80, this is very likely to mean that you will feel your
sleep was better and that you are a whole lot more refreshed compared to other days. Use the daily tip to help you
achieve higher scores on a daily basis and the 'congratuations' and 'attention' messages to better understand what
in your daily routine has caused your score to significantly improve or deteriorate. The score index is a general index
based on different age groups. You may also use it to help you understand how your score is compared to others in
your age group.
