PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
7. Install the spark plug, and then tighten
the spark plug to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
20 N·m (2.0 kgf·m, 15 lb·ft)
TIP
If a torque wrench is not available when in-
stalling a spark plug, a good estimate of the
correct torque is 1/4–1/2 turn past finger
tight. However, the spark plug should be
tightened to the specified torque as soon
as possible.
1. Fully tighten the spark plug using your fin-
gers.
2. 1/4–1/2 turn
8. Install the spark plug cap.
CLEANING THE FUEL
STRAINER
WARNING
Gasoline is a highly volatile and flam-
mable fuel. When handling gasoline, be
sure to observe the following points.
9 Do not smoke while carrying out a
service.
Also, never put any other open flames
close to the Snowblower while servic-
ing.
9 Before starting the service, discharge
any static electricity on yourself by
touching a metal chassis or other
metal object.
1. Stop the engine and remove the engine
switch key.
2. Turn the fuel cock lever to the "OFF" po-
sition.
3. Remove the ring nut, and then remove
the fuel strainer cup, the gasket and the
fuel strainer.
