7 When the battery pack that is used in the
XA-GP1BK has been rem oved, m ake sure to store it
in a safe place out of the reach of children.
Im m ediately seek the advice of a m edical physician
if the battery liquid is consum ed.
7 Recharge the battery pack at a tem perature
betw een 5˚ - 35˚ C (41˚ - 95˚ F).
Do not attem pt to recharge the battery pack at a
tem perature below or above this range.
Failure to recharge w ithin this range m ay result in a
decrease in perform ance, or shorten the life of the
battery pack.
7 Using the unit w hen sm oke, a strange sm ell, or an
abnorm al condition is detected m ay result in a fire
hazard or electric shock.
Im m ediately unplug the pow er cord from the outlet,
confirm that sm oke is no longer being produced,
and have your dealer check or service the unit. The
user attem pting to service the unit is extrem ely
dangerous and prohibited.
7 Do not use if there is dust or m etallic objects
attached to the pow er plug (or pow er adapter)
blades. Failure to clean the plug blades m ay result
in a fire hazard or electric shock.
7 Do not m odify, force to bend, tw ist, or pull the
pow er cord. This w ill dam age the cord and m ay
result in a fire hazard or electric shock.
7 Do not place heavy objects such as furniture on the
pow er cord and take care not to allow the cord to
becom e covered. Otherw ise the pow er cord m ay
be dam aged and cause a fire hazard or electric
shock.
7 If the cord does becom e dam aged (the internal
w ires are exposed or the cord is cut), a replacem ent
should be purchased from your dealer. A dam aged
pow er cord m ay result in a fire hazard or electric
shock.
7 When the unit is dropped or the cover is dam aged,
unplug the pow er cord from the pow er outlet and
contact your dealer.
Continuing to operate the product under these
conditions m ay result in a fire hazard or electric
shock.
7 Do not insert m etal or com bustible objects into the
sockets that are present on the unit. Objects
inserted into the unit m ay result in a fire hazard or
electric shock.
7 Do not attem pt to plug in or unplug the pow er cord
w ith w et hands.
Handling the pow er cord w ith w et hands m ay result
in electric shock.
7 Do not touch the pow er cord during an electrical
storm . Touching the pow er cord at this tim e m ay
result in electric shock.
7 Take precautions to keep the unit dry and to
prevent liquid from entering. In the event that
liquid is spilled into the unit, unplug the pow er cord
from the pow er outlet and contact your dealer.

CAUTIONS
7 The pow er cord should alw ays be unplugged from
the outlet by grasping the plug (or pow er adapter)
and never the cord itself. Pulling on the cord itself

7 The battery recharger's pow er cord should be

7 Do not use a pow er outlet that does not m ake a
snug connection w ith the pow er cord plug (or
pow er adapter). Loose and im proper connections
w ill give off heat and m ay result in a fire hazard.
Contact a dealer or a certified electrician to have the
defective pow er outlet replaced.
7 Do not place the unit in an excessively m oist or
dusty environm ent.
Operating the recharger in such an environm ent
m ay result in a fire hazard or electric shock.
7 Avoid placing the unit near a preparation area in
kitchens or hum idifiers. Exposing the unit to soot,
hum idity, or dust m ay result in a fire hazard or
electric shock.

7 The unit should be installed on a level and stable
surface. If the unit is used on an unstable surface,
the unit m ay fall off, or the entire stand and unit
m ay fall over causing bodily harm .
7 Confirm that the pow er cord plug has been
rem oved from the outlet before attem pting to m ove
the unit. M oving the unit w hile plugged-in m ay
dam age the pow er cord and result in a fire hazard
or electric shock.
7 Do not fold the pow er adaptor in cloth or bedding
or w rap in any w ay.
Covering or w rapping the adaptor w ill cause heat to
build up w hich m ay cause the case to change shape
and result in a fire hazard.
