1 . U se only the size a nd type of ba tte rie s specifie d.
2 . Be sure to follow the corre ct pola rity whe n installing the batteries as indicated in the batte ry com partm ent.

3 . D o not m ix diffe re nt type s of ba tte rie s toge ther (e.g. Alkaline and C arbon-zinc) or old batteries with fresh
one s.
4 . If the device is not to be use d for a long pe riod of tim e, rem ove the batteries to prevent da m age or injury
from possible ba tte ry le a ka ge.
5. D o not try to recha rge ba tte rie s not inte nded to be recha rged; they can overheat and rupture. (Follow
ba tte ry m a nufacture r's dire ctions.)
