Wireless Keypad
The Wireless Keypad allows for limited control of the system directly at the Wireless Keypad without having to be at the computer. The Wireless Keypad has two
buttons that allow setting Home and Away modes for the system. These modes enable special macros that are automatically created to arm (Away) and disarm
(Home) the system. Before being able to enable the Home or Away modes from the Wireless Keypad, the included Keypad Keys need to be activated. Each
Keypad Key has a unique identifier allowing the system to perform unique actions per individual, as well as provide logging and alerting.
Powering the Wireless Keypad
The Wireless Keypad can be used with the included 12v power adapter or can be used with two AA alkaline batteries for greater portability. Pry the battery
compartment cover off the rear of the device to access the battery compartment. Make sure that the batteries are inserted with the proper polarity indicated by
the label inside the battery compartment.
The Wireless Keypad has built-in power-saver technology to prolong the battery life. Battery lifetime will depend on actual use and how often the panel is
accessed. A fresh set of batteries is expected to last up to 12 months. You can check the device's battery state by looking at the device list on the device overview
page of the homesight software.
