Every device that you can use with the Motorola homesight Software has one or more features or properties that affect the way that the device operates. When a
device is first added to your system, the device's properties are set to default values that will permit the device to function properly. If you wish, you may
customize some or all of the properties of a device by using the device properties panel for that device.
For example, when you first connect a camera to your system, the camera may be given a default name such as "Wired camera 01." Although that name accurately
describes the camera and permits you to distinguish it from a camera with the default name of "Wired camera 02," you may prefer to refer to the device with a
more memorable name such as "kitchen cam" or "back yard." To rename a device, or to change other device properties, you can use the device properties panel.
To display the device properties panel for a specific device, click on the CONFIG button
for that device. As noted above, there is a CONFIG button for every
device listed in the device overview's device list.
