Addressing CB Gate

You can integrate the SIMATIC Ident CB Gate into a higher-level system by connecting the CB
Gate to a controller or a PC. So that communication between the CB Gate and the higher-level
system can be enabled, the relevant components of the CB Gate must be addressed
accordingly.
The following IP addresses were assigned to the individual components in the delivery state:

Installation, connection and commissioning by Siemens Service
Installation, connection and commissioning of the SIMATIC Ident CB Gate can be performed
by the Siemens Service team.
To address the components of the CB Gate and integrate them in your automation system,
the following options are available:
• Using a NAT router
• Using STEP 7 (TIA Portal)
The IP addresses are unchanged in the case of integration via a NAT router. You can only
adapt the IP addresses with integration via STEP 7 (TIA Portal).
Requirements
• The individual components of the CB Gate are connected.
• A PC or programming device (PG) is connected.
• The CB Gate has started up.
