Before commissioning and operation, make sure to read the corresponding sections in the

Operation in hazardous areas not possible
The SIMATIC Ident CB Gate is not designed for operation in hazardous areas and,
correspondingly, is not permitted to be operated in hazardous areas.
Life-threatening voltages when control cabinet is open
When you open the control cabinet, there may be a dangerous voltage at certain areas or
components. Contact with these areas or components may lead to death through electric
shock.
Disconnect the cabinet from the mains before opening it.
Do not plug in or pull out plant components during operation.
NOTICE
Connection and repair by qualified personnel
The SIMATIC Ident CB Gate may only be connected and repaired by qualified personnel,
taking into account the documentation belonging to it.
NOTICE
Security recommendation: Authentication
Note that the controller, the reader and the Panel are password-protected in the factory
state. The password for the user "admin" is "CB_Gate2022!".
To ensure that no unauthorized persons can access the device settings, we recommend that
you leave authentication enabled, change existing passwords and create new user profiles.
You should also read the information under the "Passwords" heading of the "Security
recommendations (Page 7)" section.
