PRE-OPERATION CHECK
CHECKING THE TRANSMIS-
SION (HST) OIL
Check that the transmission (HST) oil is at
the specified level.
1. Check the oil reservoir under the con-
trol panel.

is between the maximum level mark
and minimum level mark.

TIP
The transmission
changes due to thermal expansion or con-
traction.
(HST) oil capacity
When the ambient temperature is low
(below approx. -20 C) or before operating
the Snowblower, you may not be able to
see the level of transmission (HST) oil in
the oil reservoir. This is normal.
When you start snow blowing, the transmis-
sion will warm up and you will be able to
see the oil level.
3. When the transmission (HST) oil drops
below the minimum level mark, refill the
recommended oil up to the specified
level (see page 44).
Recommended transmission (HST) oil:
Diesel engine oil
10W-30, Class CD or higher
