Installing the Tines and
Shields
Parts needed for this procedure:

Left outer tine set
1
Right outer tine set
1
Left side shield
1
Right side shield
Procedure
WARNING
When the outer tines are installed, operating
the machine without the side shields could
expose you or others to tine contact, causing
injury or death.
• Always install the side shields whenever
the outer tines are installed.
• Never put your hands or feet under the
machine.

Remove the lock pin from the drag stake and
remove the drag stake. Set both aside.

Remove the lock pin from 1 inner tine and verify
that the arrows on the tines point in the direction
of forward rotation.
Note:
The arrows rotate counterclockwise
when viewed from the left side of the machine.

Slide on the outer tine so that it aligns with the
second hole position of the inner tine and secure
it with the lock pin.
Important:
of the tiller so that the wire hinges over the
top of the tine pipe and latches to the pin on
the rear of the tine.
