Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the "Read
this first: Important safety information" on page v.
Note: For some computer models, the optical-drive bay might be installed with an optical drive, a 5.25-inch
flex module, a flex storage enclosure, or an optical/storage combination enclosure.
To install or replace an optical drive, do the following:
1. Prepare your computer. See "Preparing your computer and removing the computer cover" on page 57.
2. Remove the front bezel. See "Front bezel" on page 59.
3. If you are installing an optical drive, do the following:
