Connect

The Connect menu allows you to directly program the VPS in Interactive mode. When connecting,
you are required to enter the password corresponding to the Programmer Code entered when starting
KX-TVM Maintenance Console.
1.4.1
Connect—USB
Connects to the VPS in Interactive mode through the USB port on the VPS.
To connect using USB
1.
From the Connect menu, select USB.
2.
Enter the password used to log on to KX-TVM Maintenance Console.
3.
Click OK.

Connect—LAN (Optional for KX-TVM50)
Connects to the VPS in Interactive mode through the LAN port of the VPS.
To connect using a LAN
1.
From the Connect menu, select LAN (TCP/IP).
2.
Enter the settings as required.
3.
Click OK.

Connect—Modem (optional)
Connects to the VPS in Interactive mode through the modem.
To access the VPS remotely using this feature, a remote modem card must be installed and the
analogue. For more details, see "2.7.4 Internal Modem Card (KX-TVM296)" in Installation Manual.
To connect via modem, the following settings must be entered to match the settings of the modem
and/or PC.

COM1–COM2
CR, CR+LF
Description
Enter a User ID to identify this set of values.
Enter the password used to log on to KX-
TVM Maintenance Console.
Specify the number of the COM port
assigned to the PC's modem interface. Only
available COM ports will be displayed.
Specify the code to be sent to signify the end
of a line. Choose CR+LF.
