Checking the Engine-Oil
Level
Service Interval: Before each use or daily
Crankcase capacity: approximately 7.6 L (8 US qt)
with the filter
Use high-quality engine oil that meets the following
specifications:
API Classification Level Required: CH-4, CI-4 or
higher
Preferred oil: SAE 15W-40 (above 32°C (0°F))
Alternate oil: SAE 10W-30 or 5W-30 (all
temperatures)
Toro Premium Engine oil is available from your
distributor in either 15W-40 or 10W-30 viscosity.
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, lower the
cutting units, engage the parking brake, shut off
the engine, and remove the key.
2.
Release the engine cover latch and open the
hood.
3.
Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, and install
it
(Figure
36).

Remove dipstick and check oil level on dipstick.
The oil level should be up to the F

Changing the Engine Oil

Service Interval: After the first 50 hours
Every 150 hours

Remove the drain plug
