2.4 Commissioning the IRD6000

This section describes how to commission the IRD6000 for which the parameters are set.

2.4.1 Signal Reception

Prerequisites

Description
Destination IP address
Destination UDP port number that corresponds to the destination port
domain in UDP and ranges from 1024 to 65534.
Selects the transmission protocol, UDP or RTP.
Corresponds to the time to live domain in IP.
TS packets in the data load, ranging from 1 to 7.
Corresponds to the type of service domain in IP.
Enables the destination address obtaining function.
The address for multicast is calculated from the destination IP
addresses, and the address for uni-cast is obtained using the Address
Resolution Protocol (ARP).
Hardware address, used to define the location of network devices.
When multiple IRD6000 are connected to the same network, each
IRD6000 must have a MAC address.
Enables or disables the FEC function for IP TS.
Yes: Only horizontal FEC is applied. Otherwise, both horizontal and
vertical FEC are enabled.
Selects the interval mode.
Horizontal and vertical FEC parameters ranging from 1 to 20
Selects a program to output it using IP streams or deselects it from
this operation.
Tuner
Satellite, cable, or ground signals are ready and the signal strength is normal.
ASI
The ASI signal source sends ASI signals properly.
