Installing Cables (UPS Scenario)

This chapter uses the UPS scenario where the CIM power cable connects to an adapter, and the
CIM communications cable connects to the UPS as an example to describe how to connect cables.
If only the UPS is used, connect cables by following instructions in this section.

When a battery system needs to be managed by multiple CIMs, the CIMs can be cascaded
through RS485 buses for capacity expansion, and then connected to northbound devices (the UPS
supports four cascaded CIMs).
