When a battery system needs to be managed by multiple CIMs, the CIMs can be connected to
northbound devices through straight-through cables (the ECC supports four CIMs in parallel).
4.2

Connecting Cables

Connect the Hall effect sensor on the positive battery string terminal to the HALL_1 current
monitoring port on the CIM, and connect the Hall effect sensor on the negative battery string
terminal to the HALL_2 current monitoring port on the CIM.
The positive and negative battery string cables must be routed in directions shown by arrows
on the Hall effect sensors. The positive battery string cable routes from the UPS to the
battery, and the negative battery string cable routes from the battery to the UPS.
In the foregoing figure, the iBOX is equivalent to the CIM, and the iBAT is equivalent to the BIM.
