Selection of view range
To stably read codes with the code reader of PV230, it is important to maintain enough view range to
recognize elements and modules.
■Barcode
Set the view range to make the narrowest elements (bar
and space) to be four pixels or more.
Set the view range to make the height of the elements to be
8 pixels or more.
Also, a quiet zone the size of which is 10 narrow bars is
necessary on the right and left sides of general bar code to
detect the both ends.
GS1 DataBar can be read without quiet zones.
Set the range to read code.
Set the code type to be read and the reading
condition.
Check whether the read result is the one you
desired.
