13.20 Keypad Buttons

This test checks the buttons (switches) that are on
the control panel. The first button this test shows
(activation (I)) is for indicating that the machine is
being activated.
SavE mode indication (machine slows down at
under high loads) indicates when pressing the
control panel "e" button and everything is OK. If
CCU detects that a button has been pressed, the
button will change color in the test.

13.21 Activation

Press the "I" button on the control panel and the
color of the button in the test changes to blue. If
this does not happen, make sure the control panel
has +5 V with a multimeter set to measure volt
and then take a reading on pin 9 in the connector
under the control panel orange lead. If +5 V is
present, continue and take a reading on pin 10 in
the same connector while pressing the button for
activation of the machine (I). When the button is
depressed, there should be +5 V on pin 10, note
that the connectors must be joined when testing.
The reading must be taken with a wire inserted
via the rubber on the back of the connector to the
receptacle/pin in the connector or with a measuring
tool that penetrates the lead insulation to make
contact.
When releasing the button, it should be 0 V. If
these readings look OK and there is no indication
in the test, the connector where the signal enters
CCU must be measured, connector A:2. If there is
no signal on pin 2 in connector A but there is in the
connector under the control panel, there is a cable
break in the cable and it is a purple lead.

13.22 SavE

Press the "e" button on the control panel and the
color changes to blue. If this does not happen,
make sure the control panel has +5 V with a
multimeter set to measure volt and then take a
reading on pin 9 in the connector under the control
panel orange lead. If +5 V is present, continue and
take a reading on pin 11 in the same connector
while pressing the button for activation of savE
(e). When the button is depressed, there should
be +5 V on pin 11, note that the connectors must
be joined when testing. The reading must be
taken with a wire inserted via the rubber on the
back of the connector to the receptacle/pin in the
connector or with a measuring tool that penetrates
the lead insulation to make contact with the leads.
When releasing the button, it should be 0 V. If
these readings look OK and there is no indication
in CST, the connector where the signal enters CCU
must be measured, connector A:3. If there is no
signal on pin A:3 in connector A but there is in the
connector under the control panel, there is a cable
break in the cable and it is a black lead.
