11.4 Keypad

11.4.1 Test of LED

During this trouble shooting we assume that
+5 V is OK.
While testing the LEDs, all the possible states of
the LED indicators are stepped through while see-
ing that they are turned on and off as they should.
If any of these LEDs does not come on or go off,
or two LEDs or more are on at the same time, then
there is something wrong. Then change the control
panel and perform the test again, if the fault per-
sists look for the cause in the machine's cables.

11.4.2 Test of Buttons

Functional description of control panel
CCU controls these LEDs separately. A lead goes
to each LED on the control panel from CCU.
These LEDs are turned on when the CCU sends a
current limited voltage to each LED, which means
that a short circuit cannot destroy CCU.
All the LEDs are green. If the battery has a very
weak charge, a red LED will come on in the bottom
field of the bar to indicate low battery voltage.
