[Finish the update]
[Notes]
After update is complete, be sure to configure the date
and time settings and the pre-update system format
you confirmed in step 4. (Refer to "Configuring the
Initial Settings (First-Time Startup)" in the Operating
Instructions.)
Updating the SUB Firmware
After update of the MAIN firmware is complete,
update the SUB firmware.

Double-click the "Update_MCX500V***SUB.
exe" file.
Firmware Updater starts.
[Connect the device and the computer]
[Finish]

Use a phillips screwdriver to remove the cover
of the USB port on the right side of the unit.

Use the supplied USB cable to connect the
USB port (SUB) on the right side of the unit to
the computer.

Press the UTILITY button on the unit to display
the [UTILITY 2/3] menu, and tap [USB
CONNECT].
[Next]
When a connection is established, "ID-0060" is
displayed.

Click [Next] on Firmware Updater.
The connection will be verified.
[Notes]
Do not turn off the unit from this point under any
circumstance until the update is complete.
[Tips]
ˎ If the USB cable was mistakenly connected to the
ˎ
USB port (MAIN) on the rear of the unit, the following
message appears. Check the connection, and
connect the cable to the USB port on the right side of
the unit properly.
ˎ If a USB connection between the unit and the
ˎ
computer cannot be detected, a message indicating
that the unit could not be found will appear on the
computer side. In such cases, try the following.
– Disconnect the USB cable, and connect it again.
– If your computer has multiple USB ports, try using
a different port. (Depending on the computer,
additional USB ports may be located on the rear.)

Check the current version, and click [Next].
The version that appears in the [Current
version] field will be updated.
[Check the version]
[Next]
The following appears, and the unit will restart.
