Installing a Wireless LAN Card Private Key

If you select WPA/WPA2+802.1X/EAP as the encryption and authentication method
and EAP-TLS as the EAP type in "Selecting the Encryption and Authentication
Method," on p. 2-10, follow the procedure below to install a wireless LAN card

private key. If you select 802.1X/EAP+WEP and use EAP-TLS as the EAP type,
install the key as required.
The wireless LAN card private key is used as a pair with the wireless LAN card
certificate installed in "Installing a Wireless LAN Card Certificate," on p. 2-16.
IMPORTANT
The following type of wireless LAN card private key can be used:
- File size 8 KB or less
- DER format (binary format) or PEM format (format with DER format data encoded in
- PKCS#8 format private key or PKCS#12 format private key, which contains an X.509

Click [Browse] ➞ select the wireless LAN card certificate to
install ➞ click [OK].
You can also directly enter the path to the wireless LAN card certificate.

If you install a PKCS#12 format wireless LAN card private key, which contains an X.509
certificate and a PKCS#8 format private key, the wireless LAN card certificate is also
updated at the same time.
Click [Settings/Registration] ➞ select [External Interface]
under <Preferences> ➞ click [Extension Card Settings] ➞
[Wireless LAN] ➞ [Wireless LAN Settings] ➞ [802.1X/EAP
Settings].
If the System Manager ID and password have been set, a dialog box prompting
you to enter the System Manager ID and password appears. Enter the System
Manager ID and password ➞ click [OK].
