Network Protocol Settings

Before specifying the wireless LAN settings, it is necessary to specify the settings
required for the network protocol to use. Refer to the following to specify the
required settings.
Also note that the standard network settings other than [TCP/IP Settings (IPv4)],
[TCP/IP Settings (IPv6)], [DNS Settings (IPv4)], [DNS Settings (IPv6)], [NetWare
Settings], [AppleTalk Settings], and [Startup Time Settings] are also used for the
Wireless LAN Board. See e-Manual > Network to specify these settings.
IMPORTANT
For information on the security settings for the access point, see the instruction manuals
included with the access point.
NOTE
For details on each item, see the sections for [IPv4 Settings], [IPv6 Settings], [DNS
Settings], [WINS Settings], [NetWare Settings], [AppleTalk Settings], and [Startup
Settings] in e-Manual (Network).
These settings are enabled after the machine is restarted. For information on restarting
the machine, see the manual included with the machine.
