IPMI
Abbreviation for Intelligent Platform Management Interface. IPMI defines a set
of common interfaces to computer hardware and firmware which system
administrators can use to monitor system health and manage the system. IPMI
operates independently of the operating system and allows administrators to
manage a system remotely even in the absence of the operating system or the
system management software, or even if the monitored system is not powered on.
IPMI can also function when the operating system has started, and offers
enhanced features when used with the system management software.

Abbreviation for kilobits per second, which is a data transfer rate.
LAN
Abbreviation for local area network.
LDAP
Abbreviation for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol. It is an application
protocol for querying and modifying directory service running over TCP/IP.
LED
Abbreviation for light-emitting diode.
LOM
Abbreviation for Local area network On Motherboard.
MAC
Acronym for media access control, which is a network sublayer between a network
node and the network physical layer.
MAC address
Acronym for media access control address, which is a unique address embedded
in the physical components of a NIC.

management station
The management station is a system that remotely accesses iDRAC6.
