the Open position. A warm engine requires little or no
choking.

Ignition Switch

Insert the key into the switch (Figure 14) and turn it
clockwise as far as possible to the Start position to start
the engine. Release the key as soon as the engine starts;
the key will move to the On position. Turn the key
counterclockwise to the Off position to stop the engine.
Voltmeter
The voltmeter (Figure 14) indicates the electrical system
voltage.
Fuse
The fuse (Figure 14) is part of the electrical circuit. It
contains a 10 amp. fuse (15 amp. maximum).

Hour Meter

The hour meter (Figure 14) indicates the total hours the
machine has operated. It starts to function whenever the
key switch is rotated to On.
Seat Adjusting Lever
This lever, on the left side of the seat (Figure 14), allows
a 4 inch fore and aft adjustment of the seat.
Mow Lockout Lever
The lockout lever (Figure 15) locks the mow pedal
preventing accidental starting of the cutting units. To
unlock it, pull the mow lockout pin outward, rotate it
clockwise, and insert the end into the rear hole in the
bracket.

Shift Selector
The shift selector is located on the top of the right-hand
panel (Figure 16). It provides two traction selections

plus a Neutral position. It is permissible to shift from
one selection to another while the machine is in motion.
No damage will result.
Neutral-used for starting the engine
No. 1 Position-used for greens mowing operation
No. 2 Position-used for transport operation
Important: If the machine is operated in reverse
with the cutting units down, the cutting units will
be pulled off of the lift arms.

Fuel Shut-Off Valve
Close the fuel shut-off valve (Figure 17), under the fuel
tank, when storing or transporting the machine on a
truck or trailer.
