Ê Undo the four fastening screws of the heat sink and lift it carefully off the
CPU.
When you have removed the heat sink, check that the heat sink
!
compound is intact. If it is not, you must do the following before
reinstalling the heat sink:
Remove any remnants of the heat sink compound from the bottom of the
heat sink and clean the top of the processor. Use a lint-free Isopropyl
alcohol wipe (e.g. CleanTex TexPad 801, available from specialist
dealers).
Apply a new film of heat sink compound to the bottom of the heat sink.
