SIP/BRI Configuration

The SIP/BRI configuration screen displayed next by the UC320W Configuration
Wizard is where the administrator defines the Cbeyond SIP trunk parameters,
including the DIDs assigned to the customer. UC320W now offers a "canned"
configuration option for a Generic SIP Provider and for a Mediatrix BRI Gateway
from the Provider dropdown list. Additional providers, including Cbeyond, may be
added in a future release.
To define the SIP service, the administrator must click the drop-down list and select
"SIP Generic SIP Provider". This selection activates the SIP trunk Settings and Phone
Numbers fields.
With the Settings fields expanded, the administrator must complete the following
fields for the Cbeyond SIPconnect trunking service. Please note that the screenshot
below shows the sample UC320W configuration and is ONLY AN EXAMPLE.
Customers must rely on documentation provided by Cbeyond for the correct
UC320W/SIPconnect settings.
Description: Cbeyond
Proxy: Provided in Cbeyond's initial setup documentation, this is typically
something like sipconnect.atl0.cbeyond.net but depends on the customer's market.
This refers to Cbeyond's Broadsoft application server's SRV record.
Require Registration: Must be checked.
Outbound Proxy: This is also provided in Cbeyond's initial setup documentation
and refers to Cbeyond's SBCs. It usually looks something like "sip-
proxy.atl0.cbeyond.net".
Call Capacity: Provided in Cbeyond's initial setup documentation. This can be
derived from the number of DIDs purchased. A 12-line service, for example, would
set "call capacity" to 12. Note that the licensed features of the UC320W itself must
permit setting the call capacity to what has been purchased from Cbeyond. In other
words, an 8-line UC320W will not support a 12-line Cbeyond service. The sizing of
the UC320W and Cbeyond line counts should be determined well before the
installation process begins.
Prefix dialed numbers with "+1": Should be unchecked.
Company Name: The name of the SIPconnect customer.
Account ID: The "main number" assigned to the customer should be entered here.
The is the "parent" SIPconnect number that represents the entire customer account
