Choose Your Network Topology

After the Introductory video and prior to beginning the detailed configuration tasks,
the configuration tool addresses the minimum network configuration that is
required to perform the installation. The configuration tool displays a screen that
allows the administrator a choice between three basic setup options for the role that
UC320W will play in the customer's network. Cbeyond's customer will typically
select between "UC320W Router Voice and Data" or "UC320W Routes Voice and
Data with external DHCP server". The differences between the options include the
location of the DHCP server providing IP addressing services to devices connected
to the UC320W. When an option is selected, an "Apply Now" button will appear.
The main goal of this initial network configuration is to provide IP addresses, with
DHCP, to the devices that will connect to the UC320W but without causing conflicts
with existing DHCP servers. More detailed network configuration will be done later
in the configuration process:
Note that the selection shown above is ONLY AN EXAMPLE, as are all the
screenshots in this configuration guide. The installer must select the options
appropriate to the particular customer's needs.
