If any of the blades shows signs of damage or excessive wear, a more
thorough inspection is necessary (see page 36 for cutter deck removal). A
dull blade can be sharpened, but a blade that is worn out, bent, cracked or
otherwise damaged must be replaced. If a blade needs sharpening or
replacement, take the cutter deck to your authorized Honda tractor dealer.
Or if you have the proper tools, you can remove and install the blade
yourself.

Severe personal injury can result if a piece of blade breaks off and is
thrown from under the cutter deck.

Never operate the lawn tractor with a worn or damaged blade.

Never operate the lawn tractor with a blade that is cracked or notched
at the base of its upturned rear edge.

Use a genuine Honda replacement blade, or equivalent.

To reduce the possibility of weakening the blade, or causing imbalance
or poor cutting performance, sharpening should. be performed by an
authorized Honda tractor dealer.
- 4. When you have completed the blade inspection, return the descent
speed adjust knob to its original position.

The cutter deck will automatically lower to the ground as the
descent speed adjust knob is turned counterclockwise. Keep clear of the
deck.
