is formed
by sewing

folded
fabric.

of shetl stitching

shetl
tucks.

stitching

be used
to finish
hems, sleeve and neck openings.

tucking
can
be used
to
create
scalloped
tucks
on
blouses
and
lingerteo
Here's How
1.
For best effect:

set the stitch
length
as you
desire.

may need to tighten
the
top thread
tension
slightly.

allow
the
needle
to
iust
clear the folded
edge of the
fabric
when
it zigzags.

If you
sew rows
of shell stitches,
space the rows 5/8"
apart,
You
can
sew Shell
Stitch
on knits
or
soft silky
wovens
in any direction.
