disconnectingmeans cannot be locked,securelyfasten a

B. NEVER PICK UPA FLAMING PAN-You may be burned.
C. DONOTUSEWATER, includingwet dishclothsor towels-a
violent steam explosionwill result.
D. Usean extinguisherONLYif:
1. You know you have a ClassABCextinguisher,and you
already know how to operate it.
2. Thefire is small and contained in the area where it started.
3. Thefire department isbeing called.
4. You can fight the fire with your back to an exit.

A. Never leavesurface units unattended at high settings.Boilovers
cause smokingand greasy spilloversthat may ignite. Heat oils
slowly on low or medium settings.
B. Alwaysturn hood ONwhen cooking on high heat or when

Cleanventilating fans frequently.Greaseshould not be allowed
to accumulate on fan or filter.
Use proper pan size.Alwaysuse cookwareappropriate for the
sizeof the surface element.

person(s) in accordancewith all applicablecodes and standards,

B. Sufficientair is neededfor proper combustion and exhausting
of gasesthrough the flue (chimney)of fuel burning equipment
to prevent back drafting. Followthe heating equipment
manufacturer'sguidelineand safety standards such as those
publishedby the National FireProtectionAssociation(NFPA), the
American Societyfor Heating,Refrigerationand Air Conditioning
Engineers(ASHRAE) and the local code authorities.
C. When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling,do not damage
electricalwiring and other hidden utilities.
D. Ductedfans must always be vented to the outdoors.
