Understanding

On-Screen
Displays
_Important:
Your Projection
TV provides
an on-screen
summary
of the current
settings
for the Projection
TV or cable channels,
as well as the
information
related
to Extended
Data Services
(XDS). XDS allows
broadcasters
to supply you with the current
time, channel
informa-
tion, and program
information.
To view this inforraation,
press the
DISPLAY
button
on the reraote
control repeatedly.
This section
describes
the displays
in the order that they occur.

The first setting
shows:
• input
source (antenna,
channel
number),
• call letters,
• stereo and/or SAP are available

on this channel,
• this channel
is programmed
into super
quick view memory,
• PIP input source (when a PIP
iraage is showing),
• current
day of the week, and
• time.
The second setting
shows:
• input source (external
source or
input name),
• an S-VHS cable has been
conn ected,
• PIP input source (when select-
ing PIP image I,
• current
day of the week, and
• time.
The third setting
shows you where
the network
name and program
name will appear' if a broadcaster
is s_pplying
information
via XDS.
The third setting
shows you where
the program
description
will
appear
if a broadcaster
is supply-
ing that information
via XDS.
I
program description
If the broadcaster
is not supplying
information
via XDS,
then
an
error
message
will appear.
:"No name
available,"
":No description
available").
Additionally,
the "call letters"
will not appear.
