the PLAY button
(AUTO PLAY)
When you press PLAY on the :remote:
Active A/V Network
will turn your VCR cn and begin playing
the tape (if any).
Active AN Network
will turn your TV on and switch
it to EXT-
1.
When you turn your TV off:
Your VCR will turn
off, unless
it is playing
or recording.

the PIP button
(TWO TUNER
PIP)
You must be watching
a broadcast
channel
on Antenna-A
or ,_m-
tenna-B
to use the Active A/V Network
PIP function
correctly.
When you press the PIP buttcm on the remote
to bring up a HP
image:
Your VCR will automatically
turn on.
You can see the VCR's picture
in the small PIP image.
While the PIP image is on the screen:
The PIP function
buttons
(SOURCE,
C,HANNEL,
ENTER,
right/left,
adjust
up/down,
PAUSE)
will all work in the same
manner.
Use the PIP Channel
Selector
to scan the PIP channels.
To
access a channel
directly, :you must select VCR-A on the remote
control, then use the number
pad.
If you leave the TV turned
on, set to EXT--1, but the TV is not
receiving
a signal
on EXT-1, :it will automatically
turn off after five
minutes.
(If you use a TV menu during
this time, the TV will turn
off five minutes
after you stop using the menus.)
You should not press the PIP button
while you are watching
a
channel
that is not receiving
any broadcasts.
YOUwill not be able
to see the small PIP image, and you will not be able to change
channels
on the main image.
You may need to turn
off the 'FV and
turn it back on, change
to a channel
that is receiving
a broadcast,
and begin again.
