A newly installed refrigerator may take 12 to 24 hours to begin making ice.

If the refl_igerator is operated befiwe the
water connection is made to the icemakeL
set the power switch in the 0 (o#) position.
When the reflJgerator has been connected
to the water SUl)ply, set the power switch to
the I (On)position.
The icemaker will fill with water when it
cools to 15°F (-10°C). A newly installed
refi_igemtor may take 12 to 24 hems to beg_n
making ice cubes.

Throw away the first tew batches of ice to

Accessing Ice and Reaching
the Power Switch
To reach the icemaker power switch, pull the
shelf above the ice bin straight out. Mwa):s
be sm'e to replace the shelf.
Toaccess ice, simply pull the bin fiwward.

To Use the Dispenser (onsomemodels)
The water dispenser is located on the left
wall inside the refl_igerator compartment.
Todispense water:
Hold the glass against the recess.
@ Push the water dispenser button.
O Hold the glass tmderneath the
dispenser for 2-3 seconds after
releasing the dispenser button.
Water may continue to dispense
after the button is released.
If no wateris dispensed whentherefwemtor is first
installed,theremaybe air in thewaterlinesystem.
Press thedispenser buttonforat /east2 minutesto
remove trapped air fromthewaterfineand toill/the
watersystem. D uringthisprocess, t hedispenser
noisemaybe loudastheair ispurgedfromthe
waterlinesystem. T oflushout i_npurities i n the
waterline,throwaway thefirst6 glassfuls of water
NOTE: Toavoidwater deposits,the dispenser
shouldbe cleanedpenodicallyby wiping with a
cleancloth or sponge.
