c. Select Connect to a network.
d. Select dell_device from the network items listed in Connect to a network.
e. Select Connect Anyway in the war log box indicating you are entering an
unsecured area.
f. Click Close in the dialog box after confirming the connection is a success.
2. Check the IP address assigned by n the multifunction printer.
For example, 168.254.1.1
3. Check that the IP address on your computer is assig HCP.
4. Open Dell Printer Configu b Tool using the Web browser.
For example, http://168.254.1.1/
5. Change the wireless setting of the multif printer on Dell Printer Configuration Web
Tool.
6. Reset the multifunction printer.
7. Restore the wireless setting on your computer.
For Windows XP and Windows Server 2003:
a. Se Network Connections from Control Panel.
b. Right-click Wireless Connection and select Properties
c. Select Wir twork tab.
d. Click A.
e. Do either of the following:
When wireless a de is set to the multifunction printer:

Select Compu uter (ad hoc) networks only and close the Advanced
dialog box.
n wireless infrastructure mode is set to the multifunction printer:

Sel Access point (Infrastructure) networks only d close the Advanced
dialog box.
Select the setting that you send to the multifunction in the list in Preferred

Click Move up to move the setting to the top of the lis

Click OK the Property dialog box.
