Power up the PIX 515E security appliance. The power switch is located at the rear
of the chassis.
Figure 1-3 illustrates the LEDs on the front panel of the PIX515E Security
Appliance.

POWER ACT NETWORK
State Description
On On when the unit has power.
On If part of a failover pair, the light is on when the unit is the active
unit.
Off If part of a failover pair, the light is off when the unit is in standby
mode.
Flashing Flashing when at least one network interface is passing traffic.
