Configuring the IDE Drivers

Use the following procedure to configure the drivers.
From the Main group, double click on Windows NT Setup.

Select Options from the menu and click on "Add/Remove SCSI adapters."

Click on Add and when the information screen appears on recovery click on
"OK."

From the Adapter: drop down box, scroll down and select "Other."

Select "Intel PIIX PCI Master IDE Controller," click "OK," and then click on

Install.
You are asked if you want the files installed in the directory "C:\PIIXIDE." Click

on "Continue."

Click on the Close button to close the "SCSI adapters" screen.

Close the "Windows NT Setup" program and click "OK."
From the Program Manager menu select "File," then "Shutdown."

Select "Shutdown and Restart" and click "OK."

SCSI Adaptec 7800

Use the following procedure to install the Adaptec 7800 Family Manager. If you do not
have a SCSI installed adapter, skip to "NEC DMI Installation."
From Program Manager, select the "Main" group window.

From Main group window, double click on Windows NT "Setup" icon.

Click on the "Options" menu.

Select "Add/Remove SCSI Adapters."
5.
From SCSI Adapter Setup window, select "Add."
A Setup Message window appears. Click "OK."
At Select SCSI Adapter Option window, from the drop-down menu, scroll down

and select "Other."
7.
Insert the Adaptec SCSI driver diskette into the drive A:.
and click "OK."
