Enjoying the FM/AM radio

Manual tuning
O Press [FM/AM] to select "FM" or "AM".
Main unit: Press [SELECTOR].
O Press [_1_1, I_1_] to select the frequency.
Main unit: Press iv] or [^].
oWhen a radio broadcast is being received, "TUNED" lights in the
display.

oWhen a stereo broadcast is being received, "ST" lights in the
display.
oTo start automatic tuning, press and hold [4_1, I_1_] until the frequency
starts scrolling. Tuning stops when a station is found.
Presetting stations manually
Up to 30 stations can be set in each band, FM and AM.
O Press [FM/AM] to select "FM" or "AM".
Press [_1_1, I_1_] to select the frequency.
Press [OK].
"P" and "M" begin to flash.
O Press the numbered buttons to enter e.g.,"12"
preset channel number.
oTo select a 1-digit number
e.g., "1": [1] =_ [OK].
• To select a 2-digit number
e.g., "12": [1] =_ [2].
• A station previously stored is overwritten when another station is stored in the same
channel preset.
• Repeat steps I_ to O to set other stations.

Selecting the preset channels
Press [FM/AM] to select "FM" or "AM".
Press the numbered buttons to select the channel.
• To select a 1-digit number
e.g., "1": [1] =_ [OK].
• To select a 2-digit number
e.g., "12": [1] =_ [2].
Alternatively, press [1_1_, I_1_1]or [_1, I_] to select the
channel.

NOTE
If noise is excessive
When "FM" is selected
Press [FM MODE] to display "MONO".
• Press the button again to cancel the mode.
• The mode is also canceled when you change the frequency.
• This setting can be preset for each broadcasting station. When
"MONO" appears follow procedures O and O in "Presetting stations manually"
_ above'_.
When "AM" is selected
Press [AM BP] to select "AM BPI" or "AM BP2" that receives good reception.
Each time you press the button: e.g., "AM BPI" is selected.

FM frequency step
Main unit only
The step is factory-set to 0.2-MHz (200-kHzL but yeu can change it to receive
broadcasts allocated in 0.1-MHz _100-kHz) steps.
O Press [SELECTOR] to select "FM".
I_ Press and hold [SELECTOR].
After a few seconds the display changes to show the current minimum frequency.
Continue to hold the button down. The minimum frequency changes and the step is
changed.
To return to the original step, repeat steps O and Q.
After changing the setting, previously preset frequencies will be cleared. Preset them
again.
