Manual tuning
Press [FM/AM] to select "FM" or "AM".
Main unit: Press [SELECTOR].
Press [, ] to select the frequency.
Main unit: Press [:] or [9].
pWhen a radio broadcast is being received, "TUNED" lights in the
display.
pWhen a stereo broadcast is being received, "ST" lights in the
display.
pTo start automatic tuning, press and hold [, ] until the frequency
starts scrolling. Tuning stops when a station is found.
Presetting stations manually
Up to 30 stations can be set in each band, FM and AM.
Press [FM/AM] to select "FM" or "AM".
Press [, ] to select the frequency.
Press [OK].
"P" and "M" begin to flash.

Press the numbered buttons to enter
preset channel number.
pTo select a 1-digit number
e.g., "1": [1] > [OK].
pTo select a 2-digit number
e.g., "12": [1] > [2].
pA station previously stored is overwritten when another station is stored in the same
channel preset.

Press [FM/AM] to select "FM" or "AM".
Press the numbered buttons to select the channel.
pTo select a 1-digit number
e.g., "1": [1] > [OK].
pTo select a 2-digit number
e.g., "12": [1] > [2].
Alternatively, press [ , ] or [, ] to select the
channel.

If noise is excessive
When "FM" is selected
Press [FM MODE] to display "MONO".
pPress the button again to cancel the mode.
pThe mode is also canceled when you change the frequency.
pThis setting can be preset for each broadcasting station. When
"MONO" appears follow procedures
(> above).
When "AM" is selected
Press [AM BP] to select "AM BP1" or "AM BP2" that receives good reception.
Each time you press the button:
AM BP2 (BP=Beat Proof)

FM frequency step
Main unit only
The step is factory-set to 0.2-MHz (200-kHz), but you can change it to receive
broadcasts allocated in 0.1-MHz (100-kHz) steps.
Press [SELECTOR] to select "FM".
Press and hold [SELECTOR].
After a few seconds the display changes to show the current minimum frequency.
Continue to hold the button down. The minimum frequency changes and the step is
changed.
To return to the original step, repeat steps
After changing the setting, previously preset frequencies will be cleared. Preset them
again.
