Replacing the TV Tuner Card

To replace the computer's TV Tuner Card, perform the following procedure and refer to
Figure 4-16.
1. Set the jumpers on the new TV Tuner Card to match the settings of the card you
replaced.
2. Connect the audio cable coming from the CD-ROM drive to the connector at JP4 on
the TV Tuner Card.
3. Connect the audio cable to the connector at J1F2 on the system board to the socket at
JP5 on the TV Tuner Card.
NOTE: When performing the next step, you may find it necessary to remove the
modem audio cable from its socket on the system board. If so, remember to
connect the modem cable to the socket at J1F3 on the system board before
continuing.
1. Align the new TV Tuner Card with the same PCI slot from which the original card
was removed. Carefully, but firmly, press the card into the slot until the card snaps in
place.
2. Secure the TV Tuner Card to the chassis with one screw.
3. Stand the computer upright.
4. Replace the computer's right-side panel (refer to section 4.2.2.), as viewed from the
rear.
5. Connect the power cord and all external cables to the computer and turn on the power.

Hard Disk Drive (HDD)

This section covers the removal and replacement of the computer's hard disk drive.

Removing the HDD

To remove the computer's HDD, perform the following procedure and refer to Figures 4-17
and 4-18.
1. Turn off power to the computer, then disconnect the power cord and all external
cables connected to the computer.
2. Remove the computer's right-side panel (refer to section 4.2.1.), as viewed from the
rear.
3. Disconnect the power cable and the data cable from the HDD.
