HCP S Series Node tools file
The software you need on your laptop computer is in a file named HCP-S-
Tools-release-number.zip
available on CD.
The HCP-S-Tools-release-number.zip file contains these files:
CDM v2.12.00 WHQL Certified.exe — Installation file for the VCP
serial port driver. The VCP serial port driver installation file is used only
with S10 Nodes.
CDMuninstallerGUI.exe — VCP serial port driver uninstaller. The
VCP serial port driver uninstaller is used only with S10 Nodes.
putty-0.63-installer.exe — Installation file for PuTTY.
ir053.exe — Installation file for InfraRecorder.
rw32-setup-1.0.2.3.exe — Installation file for Rawrite32.
hcps_post_install.bat — Script used to upload an S Series Node
license and serial number to an S Series Node after the initial installation
of the HCP S Series software. This file is not used during the
refurbishment procedure.
S2B_3A19-orig.bin — Image used to flash the server module BIOS in
an S30 Node. This file is not used during the refurbishment procedure.
To obtain the HCP-S-Tools-release-number.zip file and unzip it:
1. Copy the file from the CD to the location of your choice on your laptop
computer.
2. Unzip the file to the location of your choice.
Installing and uninstalling the VCP serial port driver (S10
Nodes only)
For communication with the S10 Node server modules over a serial
connection, your laptop computer must have the VCP serial port driver
installed on it. A VCP driver causes a USB port to appear as an additional
