Information You Need Before You Begin Before you attempt to connect to the Internet you will need the information provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP) when you opened your account. This file can be backed up to your computer, restored, or reverted to factory default settings. The procedures below explain how to do these tasks. -

The software of the ADSL2+ Modem is stored in FLASH memory, and can be upgraded as new software is released by NETGEAR. Upgrade files can be downloaded from NETGEAR's Web site.
