Procedure
11. In the Telnet Properties dialog, select
Automatic from the drop-down list Startup
type.
12. Click Apply.
13. Click Start.
14. Click OK.
The Telnet server is now set up and running
on the acquisition PC.

Windows XP

If your acquisition PC is running Windows XP, FTP and Telnet are already installed. All you need

to do is to configure the Telnet server.
Procedure
1. In the Windows Start menu, select Run.
2. In the Run dialog, enter cmd and click
OK.
A command window appears.
3. At the > prompt, enter the command
tnltadmn config sec –ntlm
+passwd [Enter].
5. Click the Close button in the upper right
corner of the window to close the
command window.
6. In the Windows Start menu, select
Settings, Control Panel, Administrative
Tools, Services.
