Petrol is extremely flammable and, in some circumstances, it is
explosive.
Fill the fuel tank in a well ventilated area with the engine
switched off.
Do not smoke and avoid any flames or sparks in the area where
filling is performed and where the fuel is stored.
Do not overfill the fuel tank. (The fuel level must be below the
filler neck).
After filling the tank, make sure that the tank cap is correctly fitted.
Take care not to spill fuel during the tank filling operation.
Petrol splashes or vapours could catch fire.
Make sure that any spilled petrol has evaporated and that
vapours have dispersed before starting the engine.
Avoid direct contact of petrol with the skin and do not breathe the vapours.
KEEP FUEL OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
FUEL CONTAINING ALCOHOL
Never use petrol that is stale, contaminated, or mixed with oil.
If you decide to use a petrol containing alcohol (gasohol), be sure its
octane rating is at least as high as that recommended by Honda.
There are two types of "gasohol": one containing ethanol, and the
other containing methanol.
Do not use gasohol that containing more than 10% ethanol.
Do not use petrol containing more than 5% methanol (methyl or wood
alcohol) and that does not also contain co-solvents and corrosion
inhibitors for methanol.
NOTE :
• Fuel system damage or engine performance problems resulting
from the use of petrol that contains more alcohol than
recommended is not covered under the warranty.
• Before buying petrol from an unfamiliar station, first determine if
the petrol contains alcohol. If it does, find out the type and
percentage of alcohol used.
If you notice any undesirable operating symptoms while using a
particular petrol. Switch to a petrol that you know contains less
than the recommended amount of alcohol.
FILLING THE OIL TANK
The engine may be seriously damaged if
it is run with insufficient oil.
Check the oil level on a flat horizontal
surface with the engine switched off.
The engine's service life may be
shortened if non-detergent oil or
2-stroke engine oil is used.
CHECKING THE OIL LEVEL
Before each use, look around and underneath the engine for signs of
oil or fuel leaks.
1. Place the engine in a
horizontal position on a flat
surface.
2. Remove the oil filler cap and
check the oil level: oil must be
level with the top of the oil
tank neck [1].
3. If the level is too low, top up
with the recommended oil to
the top of the oil filler neck.
Use Honda 4-stroke oil or an
equivalent engine oil with
high detergent properties, of prime quality and certified as
complying with American automobile manufacturer standards
for SG and SF classification.
Lubrication oil specifications necessary to maintain the performance
of the emissions control system: Honda genuine oil.

ENGINE
COLD START
The machine is considered to be
«cold» if the engine has not been
running for more than 5 minutes in
the 10 minutes before starting up.

warm enough (summer), the engine
may start without applying the choke.
START THE ENGINE AS
