FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

CAUTION:
• Alway s be s u re that the applianc e is s w itc h ed off,
unplugged, and the battery c a rtridge is remov e d
be ore ad usting or checking unction on the
applianc e .
Use with battery:
Installing or removing battery cartridge
CAUTION:
• Alway s unplug before ins t alling or remov i ng of the
battery c a rtridge.
• Only us e genuine Mak i ta lithium-ion batteries . Us e
of non-genuine Mak i ta batteries , or batteries that
hav e been altered, may res u lt in the battery burs t ing
causing res, personal in ury and damage. It ill
als o v o id the Mak i ta warranty for the Mak i ta tool and
c h arger.
• Hold th applianc and th batt ry cartridg
when installing or removing battery cartridge.
Failure to hold the applianc e and the battery c a rtridge
rmly may cause them to slip o your hands and
res u lt in damage to the applianc e and battery
cartridge and a personal in ury.
• Be care ul not to trap nger (s) bet een the appliance
and battery c a rtridge when loading battery c a rtridge
as well as between the applianc e and the battery
c o v e r when c l os i ng the battery c o v e r.
NOTE:
Up to two battery c a rtridges c a n be ins t alled, although
the appliance us e s one battery c a rtridge for operation.
To ins t all the battery c a rtridge, releas e the c o v e r loc k ,
and open the battery c o v e r. (Fig. 1)
Ins e rt the battery c a rtridge. Align the tongue on the
battery c a rtridge with the groov e in the hous i ng and s l ip
it into plac e . Ins e rt it all the way until it loc k s
with a little c l ic k .
If y o u c a n s e e the red indic a tor on the
upper s i de of the button, it is not loc k e d c o mpletely.
Then c l os e the battery c o v e r. (Fig. 2)
To remov e the battery c a rtridge, s l ide it from the tool
while s l iding the button on the front of the c a rtridge.
CAUTION:
• Alway s ins t all the battery c a rtridge fully until the red
indic a tor c a nnot be s e en. If not, it may ac c i dentally
all out o the appliance, causing in ury to you or
s o meone around y o u.
• Do not ins t all the battery c a rtridge forc i bly. If the
c a rtridge does not s l ide in eas i ly, it is not being
ins e rted correc t ly.
Indicating the remaining battery capacity
(Fig. 3)
(Only for battery c a rtridges with the indic a tor)
Pres s the c h ec k button on the battery c a rtridge to
indic a te the remaining battery c a pac i ty. The indic a tor
lamps light up for few s e c o nds .
